IKEA - Furniture Swap!!!

Amsterdam's Ikea store is to run a "husselmarkt" - where people can swap their furniture.
Swapping clothing, books, music and even homes has become more and more popular around the world, with groups meeting for swaps offline and online.

Now, according to trend-spotting website springwise.com, the well-known furniture chain Ikea is organising a furniture swap at its Amsterdam store: a "husselmarkt". Roughly translated, husselen means to shuffle or move around.

Springwise says, the event is part of a marketing campaign that encourages customers to develop their creativity and to think like designers, which includes experimenting by rearranging furniture they already have. To help people redesign their living spaces, Ikea offers a tool on www.husselen.nl that let users draw a room as it's currently arranged, and then move around pieces on-screen. Any furniture that no longer fits their
rearranged room can be brought to the husselmarkt.

Publicis USA Revamps Its Strategic-Planning Arm

Publicis USA is overhauling its strategy-planning department, announcing a raft of hires with various backgrounds and new structure with an eye to better understand consumers.
But what might sound like a game of agency musical chairs and buzzword bingo already has buy-in from one major marketer...

"The strategic and planning industry needs a revamp," Susan Gianinno, chairman-CEO of Publicis Groupe's North America arm, said in an interview. "It's not well-equipped to understand people today."
Amid the rise of user-generated content, "we think the next area we should be focusing on is consumer understanding," Ms. Gianinno said.

"The need for deeper, and more relevant, insights into today's consumer has become more important than ever"!!!

MizPee finds the closest, cleanest toilets in your area. You can add and review toilets, get some cool deals in your area and challenge your knowledge of toilet trivia

Customers simply go to www.mizpee.com from their web-enabled cellphone, type in their current location (city and street address) and click on find. MizPee comes back with a list of nearby facilities, including details such as distance, user rating and whether a purchase is required, if the toilet is located in a store or restaurant. The service is initially launching in San Francisco, and allows relief-seekers to narrow their search to facilities with handicap access or diaper-changing areas. Desperate but dainty users can even limit results to restrooms that have been awarded a five-star rating for cleanliness.
